I was debating whether or not to write this here or elsewhere, like the Greenloop blog or Green Nuclear Butterfly, but I figured, since of late, my stance on things and choice of strategy seems to hurk the peanut gallery, I'd remain safe in the comfort of my own mini-media. I won't reach as many, but at least I get to try and make sense of things.

There's a few emergencies happening around the world, in this country, that are game changing. The collapse of certain institutions, desperatly trying to survive, while jobs keep vanishing to slave labor camps, under the guise of affordable prices. It can be heart wrenching. And yet, when offered a solution to shake the foundation, restore a sense of honor, place and destiny, most people look in fear at their pockebook, take a back seat chanting: "you go do it, you go do it!" So why don't I feel like anyone's got my back?

We duck, it's human nature. We're willing to speak out, outspoken in private. Talking shit about everyone and everything. But when comes push to shuv, to go on the record, we buckle under like little girls terrified at what nanny will do. And the song remains the same. In this case a stupefying rebirth of the nuclear power industry from the ashes of cosmically horrendous disasters, despite all the evidence. For sheer force of evil will and corrupt financial empires.

I created Rock The Reactors in 2006 with one objective in mind, shut down Indian Point, the old nuke on the Hudson river, a ticking time bomb threatening the lives and livelyhoods of millions of people in the New York region. A couple of friends and I came up with a full proof plan. And then we started to fight amongst ourselves, lost traction, while the nuclear power industry, with the millions at their disposal, reconsolidated, used our own arguments against us, and now have the gawl to host their annual public meeting for Indian Point on Earth Day April 22, making sure few environmentalists already committed to fairs and forum all over congressman John Hall's 19th District won't be able to attend.

Busloads of Union workers in new non-organic t-shirts with green slogans on them, wearing shiny new baseball caps on their head, will be there to greet busloads of black folk brought in from the South Bronx for a buffet lunch, so they can all hold signs for the cameras about how coal gives them asthma, and how Prius driving Westchester liberals are trying to exterminate them. All this while the plant leaks, and cancer rates go through the roof, and terrified illegals in Peekskill have no place else to go but the free clinic bought and paid for by Entergy!

The idea behind Rock The Reactors was this... bring attention to the issue after years of neglect by the media with the old tried and true: put a pretty girl in the picture. And it worked. By the NRC's own admission, Betcee May, now May Lindstrom, a green makeup artist in Los Angeles, instantly became the most downloaded pin-up by nuclear power workers. They tagged her in the mess hall. She inspired both sides to pick up arms, and go at it once again, just like Helen of Troy!

I hooked up with a genius madman, Sherwood Martinelli, who ended up almost single-handedly writing over 150 contentions and petitions against the relicensing of Indian Point. Our tireless efforts made the pages of the New York Times! But after he called one of the NRC judges a prick, well deserved, but ill-timed, was bounced from the legal proceeding, how convenient, while the good ladies of the Hudson valley, scurrying in fear of all that testosterone, appropriated our materials, refiled them as their own. Still, the NRC threw everything out on its ass, like so much detritus, because without Sherwood, his ranting and his raving, and foaming at the mouth, let's face it, nobody had a clue what to do.

The good ladies of the Hudson Valley hosted a concert with Ani DiFranco and Pete Seeger, my double bill idea mind you, which was meant to payback the thousands of dollars that came out of Sherwood and I's own quickly dwindling bank accounts... they kept all that money also! So it makes it a little difficult for Rock The Reactors to forgive and forget and act as if none of it happened, especially after their remorseless leader tried to have me thrown in jail for calling a spade a spade, costing me yet more resources I didn't have in legal fees! Nuff said.

Took a few months to restore Rock The Reactors to its former glory... lots of events, lots of networking, lots of going around helping people with their own thing in the remote hope they would put a little back in. All this is chronicled in pictures on the website. And here we are, 4 years later... Indian Point still ticking away, with dire news from the inside, as to working conditions and equipment safety.

In a few days, Fortune magazine will be hosting their Brainstorm Green conference, with half a dozen pro-nuke speakers, heralding the second coming of the peaceful atom, coming out with their Earth day green issue, praising nuclear as the solution to global warming, pale disguise for the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse if you ask me. All that money Obama and Chu are promising these knuckle dragging engineers, is going to buy them into the LED, EV and Hydrogen industry, as the tail that wags the dog, the kings of baseload, with roots deep down into the realm of black budgets, national security, energy conversion technologies and the blanket secrecy decades of cold war strategies wrapped all that stuff in.

Someone well informed once told me, to shut down Indian Point, you have to take down the entire nuclear power industry, DoD and DoE, and now Homeland Security, they got it set up that way. Well I sure hope not, because that would guarantee an accident we can't walk away from up the Hudson. All the green things we do in New York won't amount to a hill of beans if anything happens there. The people of Vermont, through their legislature, voted to shut down Vermont Yankee after the cooling tower collapsed of old age, and years of leaks were discovered, covered up by the lies of plant owner Entergy, same as Indian Point.

New York attorney general Andrew Cuomo, after only saying he just wanted to make the plant safer, finally went on the record opposing the relicensing, falling off the fence on the side of anti-nuclear wackos! That's us, and proud of it! Few days ago at the Go Green Expo, actor and long time environmentalist Ed Begley Jr. threw his hat into the ring, reinvigorating this anti-nuclear revival. He's a launch partner of Beyond Nuclear, a grassroots based anti-nuclear organization with quite a few celebrities on board, a fact seldom mentioned by his friends at the Planet Green channel, owned by Discovery, which more or less has an unwritten rule that nuclear never gets challenged on its network.

All this paint tell tale signs we're getting geared up for a big fight, to finally finish the job all these hippy dreamers, Congressman John Hall among them, started with the No Nukes concert series back in 1979. Where are you Mr. Bobby Kennedy Jr, sir? We need you now, more than ever! I don't care if they think they can build faster, better, cheaper nukes today than they did back in the 1960s. Indian Point has no business on the Hudson, it's sheer insanity, a disaster waiting to happen, already costing billions, and billions more to decommission and dismantle.

We're quietly organizing a big rally at the Hiro Ballroom in Manhattan on Bastille Day July 14, hoping New Yorkers won't let us down. Many of the contestants on Project Green Search, the green modeling competition I created with Aysia Wright of the Greenloop, support our anti-nuclear sentiments, some even put in time helping with Rock The Reactors actions. Green Drinks in Connecticut have become a support network for our organization, since in Fairfield County we're downwind, in fact more at risk than New Yorkers from the radioactive gases the plant vents daily.

It's a lot to keep track of, trying to make everybody happy. The common denominator nukes have with the fashion community is the soft tissue cancer link. Women are assaulted from all sides, by the cosmetics they use, the food they eat, the air they breathe, and the close proximity to radiation sources, both ionized and electromagnetic, like cell phones. We're slowly coming to understand the electrical properties of cancer cells, and how the disease is triggered. Comes a time when the best genes just can't stem the tide of all the stress the breakdown in our environment is causing our metabolism.

My role, after years in the trenches making green cool, is to make anti-nuke cool again as well. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for sure, but it's also what shines through a person's heart. Consumerism with a conscience... the guilt both men and women start to feel when they understand the consequences of their purchases. I tried to make revolutionaries out of beauticians, I tried to force their hand a little, make them realize the connectivity of things. Lost a few feathers. I always wanted to be James Coburn in Our Man Flynt.

So forgive this old dude his ill manners, and help out any way you can, we beg you, cause time is running short. There's no time right now for luxurious resorts and pampering. This is a lot like Soddom and Gomorrah, or the time of Noah... you're all dancing on the ruins! And yet it wouldn't take much to at least assure New York a few more years of respite from the downfall of Western civilization, even maybe allow it a green rebirth. But Indian Point's gotta go people. It's holding everything back. Everything. What will it take for all of you to see that? To see the politics, the connective tissue to everything that is wrong with the way our society malfunctions.

All it would take is one phone call from a man who has become the public face of dozens of secret societies, the captain of the Federal Bank reserve, the old man himself, who now owns an organic farm just a few miles from the old broken down wreck they call Indian Point. Yes, I'm talking about David Rockefeller, who is very old now, and about to make way for his son, David Rockefeller Jr. who has been sailing the seven seas as an environmentalist for the past 20 years! What will it take for all these illustrious people to realize our fate, and maybe the fate of the entire nation, rests in their hands, in their decision to thumbs up or thumbs down the relicensing of Indian Point?

Let the dream go... the Jetson's 50s... that retro-future, was fun in comic books. It's over. There's better now. But the best things that are yet to come won't see the light of day if plants like Indian Point are allowed to break down and decay, laying waste on the land and our genome. We can retrain all these plant workers. I have friends who worked there who are now making a good honest living, selling solar and geothermal, making more electricity than they ever have, safely, cleanly, who now feel good about themselves!

On June 12, in Los Angeles, the Women of the Green Generation are getting together at an event which hopefully will integrate many of these different aspects. There's a lot happening with Green Hollywood, and organizations like Environmental Media Association, Earth Communications Office and now Global Green USA. A lot of money and influence which needs to realign with the root source of where the environmental movement came from, the Clamshell Alliance of the 60's... thousands protesting nuclear power, and for good reason, giving birth to grassroots solar and wind companies.

Let it be is one thing... One green little thing at a time is another... but in the shadow of aging nuclear power plants, the dream of green is an illusion, and it need not be that way. Realign yourselves with those who have never stopped fighting the nuclear power industry. They deserve your attention and your support.

Why Organic Booze and Taunting PeTA!

You wonder why Jim Beam would be charming PeTA at a time when they're under fire from Greenpeace Australia. Jim Beam hasn't been too clear with their GMO corn policy and now finds itself on the Consumers International GMO Red List. This is a super cute commercial, but for those not ready for the punchline, big surprise discovering it's for a bourbon whiskey, which raises big money with Kid Rock for Operation Homefront.

Founded in 1795, the all-American Jim Beam is a proud, old company, been around for a long time in Kentucky, producing 6 million cases a year, using 70 warehouses to store nearly 2 million barrels of aging bourbon. They get most of their corn from Kolkmeier Bros. Feed & Grain Inc. in Indiana which (probably) buys their seed from Monsanto. Problem is, now that GMO foods (and that means liquor too) are being banned in countries like Australia where Jim Beam is a bestseller, plus a good portion of the European union, their brand is finding itself in an awkward predicament. According to Camper English's Alcademics, Jim Beam claims "they distill, age, and bottle non-GMO spirit separately for export where they have restrictions against GMO products."

Last year, Jack Daniels who had committed itself to a non-GMO policy, sent out a press release saying they couldn't keep that promise because there just wasn't enough non-GMO corn around! In 2007, 80 percent of all U.S. corn and 84 percent of all corn grown in Canada was genetically modified. Another environmental disaster in the making, according to many.

But why organic booze? I launched a little faux-blog called Cocktail Organico when there was only a couple of organic liquor bottles on the market. I chronicled the eruption of this new trend in libation. Today there are SO MANY as described by Intoxicated Zodiak, it's impossible to keep track. Obviously there's a fast growing market for socially conscious alcohol, but why? What makes it so important, why now and why more than just a trendy green fad?

It's because of the change in how we relate to agriculture. The way you grow your grain is a reflection on the way you care for the land. For years now the corn growers associations have been begging for the re-legalization of industrial hemp so they could use it in their fields as a rotation crop, to replace alfalfa. Why? Simple. Because hemp, much like peas, puts nitrogen back in the soil, and dispenses with the use of copious amounts of petroleum-based fertilizers. To boot, hemp can be harvested for food, fuel and fiber, giving farmers twice the revenue from two harvests.

So what's keeping it all from happening? Think about it, in America, even Oxygen, pure simple little oxygen atom, is regulated by the FDA as a Class A drug. We live in a nightmare of our own making, so with this simple little commercial, albeit unknowingly, Jim Beam has cracked open a can of worms, unleashing a litany of super critical farming issues, because of all the connective tissue that exists in the environmental community between animal rights and organic agriculture!

But that's not all. By law, to use the bourbon appellation, not simply labeling it whiskey, not only do you have to be made in the USA, but it needs to age in brand new virgin barrels. Yes, that's right, every new batch of Jim Beam is made in a spanking new white oak barrel, produced with great care by the Independent Stave Company in Missourri. Yes, the white oak is grown sustainably, but it's imported from, get this... France, where French President Nicolas Sarkozy recently visited the Stave Mill of Tonnellerie Quintessence.

So what happens to all these used barrels? They are re-sold by Kentucky Barrels to age other spirits, especially tequila, and sometimes turned into eco-chic furniture by designers like Uhuru in Brooklyn. Some are shipped to Scotland to make Scotch Whiskey and last up to 50-60 years. Others are chopped into wood chips. Jim Beam's parent company Fortune Brands, Inc. also owns MasterBrand Cabinets, a certified manufacturer in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association Environmental Stewardship Program.

So all in all, a lot of good gets mixed in with the not-so-good, as in all things. There is a cosmic trigger to this commercial, directed by Zach Math for Bob Industries, and it's not just the cuddly puppies.

Some LED lamps on the market are still less efficient than compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), which have an efficiency of 48 to 60 lumens per watt. This isn't the case with Andy Neal's ANL LTD Illuma design, friend of Rock The Reactors, being installed along the Walkway Over The Hudson in Poughkeepsie, New York celebrating its grand opening October 2nd.

Friday night, after the fireworks display reaches its climax Andy will flip the switch, sending a huge FU to Indian Point, spelling the beginning of the end for Entergy's old plant!

Straight T-5 and T-8 fluorescent tubes are better than CFLs, with efficiencies of 98 to 105 lumens per watt. Although most LED lamps on the market are about equal in performance to CFLs — Cree produces LED downlights rated at 46 to 60 lumens per watt — they cost significantly more than CFLs.

The majority of LED lighting products on the market produce only 10 and 19 lumens per watt — about the same as an incandescent bulb. Testing of LED lights by the U.S. Department of Energy in 2006 and 2007 revealed that most LED manufacturers were exaggerating lumen output. LED devices that were touted as producing 36 to 55 lumens per watt actually produced only 11.6 to 19.3 lumens per watt. Illuma has come a long way since then with 90 lumens per watt.

We want you to test Illuma for yourself. In a few days, Annie Adams's Catskill Soap Company in Bloomingburg, NY and Ed Koster will put "Grid" for sale up on her website and also on eBay.

Grid is ELV (Extra Low Voltage) as far as UL is concerned, no electrical code issues at 12 volts DC. Grid can be connected to any 12 volt battery, including those that can be re-charged by a solar panel. Total power is around 30 watts.

The connectors are industry standard Neutrik 'Speakon' parts, very tough, the cable is also very high spec' it works down to -40C which is basically the artic!

Andy's 12 volts design will retail for $295, manufactured by the Mid-Hudson Workshop for the Disabled and be available in Black or White frames.

It will be marketed to vendors, campers, boaters and anyone who has a backyard. Ed Koster plans on exhibiting at Javits Center Boat Show, display in online catalogs and at Green Drinks in Beacon, NY.

A Conversation with Jon Nowinski about the Ivory Snow girl

Any news yet on how Marilyn Chambers died?

Jon Nowinski:

The Coroner's autopsy revealed that Chambers died of a cerebral hemorrhage and aneurysm related to heart disease. Pain killer hydrocodone (Vicodine, etc) and Anti-depressant Citalopram were found in her blood stream but not enough to cause death. This was what I had heard too. Is there more to the story?

RC:

Her heart gave out? More to the story? I don't know. She knew some things... but why do her in now? These are heavy duty pills she was taking, so I guess it just took its toll. She wasn't all that overweight... it doesn't say what the cause of the heart disease was... maybe she just died of a broken heart.

JN:
Humm. Not sure. I didn't know that much about her, only the name. But hey, I'll drop a line to two entertainment journalists I know out in LA and see if they've heard anything related to it.

RC:

The link between this black ops green door patch and her movie... ties in with what took place at Staples HS when we were both in our graduating class there... all this is so old, goes so deep... how and why did her health deteriorate to such a point that she would die in her mid-50's from heart failure? Was she prescribed these drugs? Did she abuse them? What did she know about all the bullshit that went on all around us when we went to school there... it's affected all of us.

I know what I know, I know what I've seen, I know what I've been involved with... now trying to bring all the peices together so they finally make a picture... it's hard when everyone who has a peice of the puzzle keeps dying! And why am I still walking around, considering all the shit I know, that's what I'm trying to figure out. Everyone else around me involved with these issues keeps falling by the wayside... am I such a goof ball that I am no threat? Even though I know all about the deepest, most secret of programs... we were kids, at Staples, who figured it out... they took everything to the Idaho National Engineering Lab... some of us went, some of us stayed behind... that patch... it's all there for those who know how to read the signs. What happened at Indian Point in '84? What the hell is going on Jon? We're destroying this planet for the sake of what? The fear that what we discovered would totally upset the balance of power? What balance of power? Sooner or later the Chinese, the Russians, they'll figure it out too... unless the network we created has such vast octopus tentacles it keeps plucking inventors all over the world. Which is how we created a supra-government hidden deep under the US government, the secret rulers of the world government.

Who makes the decision as to when it's too late to introduce these new sciences into the energy economy? Isn't that what Gore is doing, preparing the planet for a global green autocracy? And where do I fit into all this? Who am I? What the hell did I do when I was a kid that buried me so deep? My mistake in life is that I never walked away from it, I kept trying to find my way back upstream... but could never find the right river.

But now it's all coming out in the open, leaking from all directions, because the Internet is broadcasting everything with a loudspeaker, and everybody has lost control of the situation. That's why Indian Point... it needs a center. Something to gravitate around, to give it some kind of socio-political context. My heart sunk when I heard she died. Because it was one more link to the chain broken. She was just a girl, that's all... who got herself into porn... but so much revolves around that business, organized crime, intelligence services, the lowest common denominator of our society. She was a guidepost, that's all, used by God knows who...

JN:

This is all very interesting to me. Of course because of my obsessive drive to dig where I'm not supposed to, but because there are connections to strange and unusual projects all around, and although the surface looks nice and clean, it's no wonder Westport was the inspiration for the Stepford Wives.

From what I've gathered (although haven't shared with most) Westport is no stranger to unusual circumstances. You mention some of the things that went on in Staples back in your day. Well, five of the six main players in the CIA's MKULTRA program had homes in Westport. Several of the secret tests administered during house parties were done here in town. Would it surprise you at all if any of them used their own kids in experiments? It was known to happen, but all the records on young-adult testing during MKULTRA were "lost in a fire."

Up until 2002 the NSA operated its Northeastern Branch Office out of a building on Greens Farms Ave. until they up and left without any reason. The building is still there, though I'm not sure who occupies it now, but its quite a piece of work. And there's more, of course. Sure, some of this is conspiratorial, but there's lots of facts if you are willing to take the time to make the connections.

The CIA had a contract out to Hallbrook mental hospital from the 70s through the 90s for "behavioral studies." That's as far as I was able to get with any information on that subject. Even when the Nike Sites were operational there were persistent rumors that more was being carried out there than was visible. Westport has always had - as I'm sure you know - connections with unusual circumstances, to say the least.

RC:
What year were MK Ultra folks here? Do you know who they were? This is fascinating... the emblem for MK Ultra is the butterfly. Betcee's only tattoo is a butterfly. She's obsessed with them. We suspect she's been the subject of mind control experiments growing up in Minnesota. That's the topic of Jay Beldo's book, that many young girls in Minnesota were subject to this sort of thing. He blames the very high percentage of misandrist feminism and the militant lesbians in Minneapolis on these tests.

JN:
The years for the MKULTRA people living in Westport I think would have had to be like '65 through '75 or so. That was when the big focus of the projects were going on. During the programs LOTS of teenagers were used for some of the testing. Not only the drug effects, like slipping them LSD at CIA sponsored parties, but even some of the more "in-depth" experiments. Some of the programs rumored to be conducted at Montauk around the same time were said to be done on young adults, both girls and boys.

As far as the Hallbrook connection, the closest I was ever able to get was confirmation that the CIA was sponsoring a program there. But, that's it. I've never been able to get anything from Hallbrook, they won't even respond to me, and the CIA will only tell me that the name comes up in a search of MKULTRA records, but supposedly they no longer have those documents. I also don't know much about when the NSA was in town. The year I found out about them, they pretty much closed up shop and vanished. '65 to '75, that pretty much makes sense, and ties in with my experience. Many of us were doing our own ingesting of acid, but it would seem they would pick up on this, and use it for their own purposes. This is where MK Ultra would tie in with evolution in physics, resulting from discoveries in metaphysics, leading to the development of actual programs. We were under constant surveillance. We were all taken advantage of. My contribution was this. It's in my book, ELLE On EARTH, the chapter on Staples in '69.

I was at Hills Point Beach with friends. We started playing the lifting trick, you know like on a three legged table. Except with one guy lying on the sand, and about 5 or 6 of us lifting him without any effort with the tip of one finger. I realized that if we could figure out the electromagnetic signature of what we were doing, we'd be able to duplicate it with a machine. That's what launched the program!

I was then constantly approached by different students for additional details on my idea, what do to, how to do it, etc... you bet they knew who my grandfather was... I later discovered, much later, that at the same time, the SQUID (brainwave analyser) was being developed at the Idaho National Engineering Lab. In 1974 I crossed the country with Mark Metcalf, the actor in the Twisted Sister video. I was drawn to go through Idaho... where we ended up driving along a stretch of highway leading to the lab... there on the other side of road, behind a fence which has since been removed, were the Twin Buttes, two mounds in the middle of the desert. Between them something was being built, assembled, with trucks coming in and out of the gate. I only saw it from a distance.

One of the truck drivers asked me if I was coming in, that it was my project, and that I should come and see... but for some reason, I got really scared... and Mark was completely out of his mind in fear... so I just kept going, I couldn't process what was happening, it was too unreal.

Took me years to figure it out. Nobody sat me down to explain to me all the things that were happening around me. They just came at me like vultures, picking at whatever bit of information they could get from me, for their own design... and now I see this patch, behind the green door, and Marilyn just died... we're building ufos out in the middle of the desert in idaho in 1974... and we have an energy crisis???

Well, it's all connected. The UFOs, intelligence community, labs, special projects, black programs. I don't have to tell you something you already know. Hell, a lot closer to home those programs were in full swing. Sure, you had the military/intelligence programs at Montauk, but Brookhaven Labs was - and always has been - in the business of exploring metaphysical application through hefty funding from private companies and individuals, as well as, the government. You don't need to go as far as Idaho to see these programs being put together

Most people forget that BNL was one of the first places to get its hand on a particle accelerator and start experimenting with things, like the "God particle" that's such a big deal now. BNL was first to suggest creating a black hole under "controlled circumstances" just because they could.

But that news bite quickly dropped out of the spotlight and hasn't really been heard of since. Plus, BNL tests loads of crap off the Atlantic Coast. Energy weapons, nukes, some advanced project known only as "Dark Star" that is reportedly more powerful than any nuclear weapon known. Some claim it's a cold fusion bomb.

Anyway, my point is that conspiracy is right at our doorstep, not only in the Midwest. There's more of a government shadow over Westport than I've been able to find out about. I've seen some military and intelligence vehicles parked over at the Westport PD over the years that don't make sense to be there. I'm talking high-up identifications. The kind that unless you know the keywords you'd have no idea what it means. Like the patch you forwarded. Honestly, I don't know how much of a current connection the intel. community still has with Westport, but in 2002 I was told by one of my sources that there were roughly 1400 names of highly influential people from all sorts of programs that lived in either Westport, Weston, or Fairfield. And regular meetings at their homes was not uncommon.

Of course, that source couldn't tell me anything more, and most of my attempts are blocked. A few years back I called the Westport and Fairfield Historical Societies to ask them about government or military activity in the towns. At first they said they remembered many instances, and both said they probably had records about it. When I finally got around to getting to the offices about a week later, I was road blocked. Both of them gave me the party line saying they were mistaken. It wouldn't have struck me as strange, if it weren't for the fact that they both said the same thing word-for-word, and I hadn't told either that I was visiting the other one.

Oh. another random thought concerning the military/intelligence connection around here. CT has been home to some development of black aircraft too. Look at who we have here. Sikorsky, Lockheed, Northrop, even Boeing owns some buildings up at Bradley Airport. I've personally seen the B2 Spirit land at Bradley unannounced and for no good reason. It's not uncommon for those upstate to get buzzed by a Stealth every now and again. And I've even heard sightings of what could be the Aurora. Talk about full circle, it all comes back to the '84 sighting and the entire Hudson Valley Wave. What was it that they were seeing? And why are airports like Stewart in NY and Bradley in CT given hoards of money from undisclosed defense department funds in order to keep a few hangars at the ends of the runways off the use?

I'm out of breath... now the thing is, what do we do about it? What's it all for? What's the point of all of this? Who do we tell? Do we tell anyone? What do we make of it?

All good questions... I've kept my mouth shut on my "conspiratorial rants" about Westport. Not because I fear anyone or thing in this town, but because this place is so close-minded. It's the entire "not here" mentality of this place. No one wants to admit that any of this could be happening inside our borders, no matter how clear the picture is. I don't know what - or if - to do with these thoughts.

2009 New Year's Eve Resolutions

It's no big secret this year has been extremely hard for me. I'm not the same person anymore. I came down with tinnitus and the constant ringing in the middle of my brain is driving me insane, made all the more worse by the slightest amount of stress or ill-health. I can't think, I can't function, I've lost my ability to love all things the way I used to... I've become increasingly more judgemental and precious with my time. I used to suffer fools lightly, now not at all. I've turned from a relatively go lucky, brush it off, get back up on my feet swinging kinda guy, to being perpetually exhausted and depressed, and this just at a time in my life when finally, after all these years, I have a little bit of money to start my own business, something to call my own, without having to invest all my energy, time, inspiration and ideas into someone else's career goals just to keep my own head above water.

It's no fun trying to be a host or a master of ceremony when your pain threshold is so low, you feel like screaming most of the time. And the fact I'm at the The Aquarium every chance I get, lifting heavy things, crouching up and down, crawling around, getting the place ready, nobody really there to help me with the physical aspects of this project, making my situation worse, doesn't help things much either.

This year's been one step forward, two steps back... everybody cheering at the prospect of Obama, green jobs, etc... but they don't see it's just going to be more of the same unless there's major systemic changes, changes which don't come, because it's the same people in charge. They don't see green as a movement, they see it as a personal career oppportunity. Just another gimmick to latch onto. So when you propose strategy to bring the whole movement to another level, they pat you on the back, say you're doing a great job, and go off for a week to an all expense paid trip to the latest trendy eco-spa.

Meantime the planet isn't getting any better. Sure we got what we wanted, a green fashion industry, a green cosmetic industry... an organic food industry, an alternative energy industry... but when you look really closely, all of it is just in its infancy. The media talks about it a lot because it makes good copy, and celebrities get good tracking from it. But in the pie chart, it clocks at 3 or 4 percent, hardly enough to make a dent. Unless everything changes, nothing is going to change... the planet won't even notice.

We launched a green TV channel this year, Planet Green, except Discovery, in its grand corporate wisdom, paranoia and selfishness, left all the key elements (and players) involved with the green media revolution, at the gates begging for bread crumbs. They created a channel for people who don't watch TV, squandered their best assets... and caved in to Martha's Green Emeril, which looks and feels like a half hour Whole Foods infomercial. Take a cue from Olivia Munn, who with her brazen support of marijuana legalization, has more balls and comic genius than any of the Planet Green executives, and she's a lot hotter!

The best save the planet shows are still on the Science Channel, like Eco-Tech and Ecopolis, and if Discovery wasn't so lame at cross-fertilization, they'd get the Military channel involved. That's really the crux of the problem, right there. Without the military, the green movement has diddly squat! Because no matter how green we try to make this planet, war, hate will come along and trash every garden we try to plant.

So here's my top ten list of things to do to save the planet in 2009. You'll notice it doesn't read like what you'll find on Treehugger or any of the other so-called green blogs out there, that's because they see the world through the wrong end of the looking glass, young people who have never learned how to huddle and strategize. They can't find the Achille's Heel because they're not even looking for it. They think it's all going to be OK because they're working towards a better future. But it doesn't work that way, that's what gives us Hitler, Mao and Stalin, blind faith in the system.

There are key elements as to why the planet is in such dire straight, and global warming isn't on my top ten list. A degree here or there, melting ice caps and glaciers, that's just prepardness... moveable cities. You don't try to stop it, that's like the war on drugs, it's useless, and damaging to countries, entire cultures. Bob Geldof pretty much summed it up when he referred to solar and wind as Mickey Mouse. But he's a dork and he said it to favor nuclear power, that's because he's too uneducated to know where the real limitations and potentials are. This from a man who starred as the hero in Pink Floyd's The Wall. I guess he took "We don't need no education" literally! Freakin' moron, look at Africa today, worse than it's ever been, for just a few stupid reasons, not the least of which is the US controlled ban on industrial hemp!

You want to save the planet? I mean you really want to get to the root cause of the problem and yank out the disease? Follow-me, except I don't guarantee you'll survive it, because they kill people who know what I know, they get rid of them, sweep them under the carpet, so they can watch their precious Earth choke on their own excrement, justifying the trillions they spent on digging underground bases!

1 - Break the lock on MIT's licensing office suppression of solid state high density lithium ion battery chemistry. It's the one hurdle left standing in the way of long range electric cars and baseload power for solar and wind.

2 - Break the lock on GE's aerogel patent hording. Aerogel is known to produce the best substrate for batteries, capacitors, and a multitude of other energy saving applications. Aerogel is made from protein isolate. See number 6.

3 - Save the Tesla Motors company from itself, by forcing them to embrace the culture of their name sake, Nikola Tesla, stop preventing the best electric vehicle engineers in the world, all the National Electric Drag Racing Association team members, from participating in the evolution of their design! The Tesla is a great car, in spite of itself, but the folks who own and run the company are their own worse enemy... only focusing on marketing to the super wealthy, forgetting it's the "people" who are going to give their roadster its myth and legend.

4 - Pressure the US military, the Pentagon, the black budget and the Shadow Government to go public with their arsenal of UFOs, allowing the people of Earth to use suppressed energy physics to replace and retrofit the entire oil, coal and nuclear infrastructure this evil leadership kept in place to benefit the families of the Federal Bank Reserve. Don't trust anyone with the last name Rockefeller or Rothchild, or graduated Skull & Bones from Yale, because all they care about is the preservation of their dynasties. They are the evil killing this Earth!

5 - End nuclear power, now, at least in its present form, the most abject and dirtiest way to boil water. Someone once told me that to shut down Indian Point, you had to shut down the entire nuclear power industry, that "they", whoever "they" is, had it rigged that way. If there's one environmental battle this decade, it's the fight to shut down Indian Point, a cancer causing monstrosity, made all the more vile by 9/11 and Homeland Security. All these Union workers should be ashamed of themselves!

6 - Legalize industrial hemp, for fuel, for fiber, for protein isolate, for aerogel. Monsanto GMO corn is killing agriculture. Legal hemp will restore the land, feed billions, again, the same cabal of financiers keeping hemp illegal, are promoting nuclear power as the solution to everything. These are evil men.

7 - Demand Sandia Lab make public domain the engineering behind ethanol laser ignition systems which they developed in the late 70's and kept under lock and key ever since, because it provides 100% combustion inside an internal combustion engine, making petroleum products obsolete!

8 - Put pressure on modeling agencies to create green model divisions, because many girls are tired of selling crap to the masses, and need to take a shower from all the dirty money they're making. What Lola Wants, Lola Gets... Love and Desire makes the world go round.

9 - Put pressure on the large magazine publishers to stop paying lip service to the green revolution, by printing all their titles on recycled stock so we don't have to clear cut Siberia so Anna Wintour can keep her job! Wake up Hachette, since 2001 Lü's been knocking at your door!

10 - Pray to God the aliens keep saving our bacon, which they've already done time and time again, and forgive the pathetic remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still.

Anyway guys, have a happy... Mine will be miserable.
